Steve Gomberg
Steve Gomberg comes to the practice of Chinese Medicine with a unique background and perspective. Having been the head chef at a fine French restaurant in Brentwood for fifteen years, Steve developed an uncanny interest in the medicinal properties of various foods. He began using this knowledge in his cooking, but his interest began reaching beyond the culinary realm and into the realm of herbal medicine. And after 15 years, he left the restaurant business to pursue his interest in medicine.
Steve also has a lifelong interest in psychology and Buddhism and was ordained in India as a monk in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.
Steve has taken a particular interest in using acupuncture and herbal medicine in genetic modification and in the profound role the subconscious mind plays in disease. He also found that even genetic expression can be altered through what he calls "energetic psychology". Steve has developed a number of protocols to identify and correct negative subconscious belief patterns that can cause many chronic diseases. He developed a specific protocol for ECCM to help couples identify and correct subconscious blocks to fertilty.
Steve teaches nutrition, herbal medicine and Meridian Theory at the American University of Complementary Medicine. His primary areas of interest include: gastrointestinal disorders (digestive), neurological disorders, oncology (cancer), and emotional health.
