Acupuncture for Your Embryo Transfer

If given advanced notice and approval by your reproductive endocrinologist (RE), a practitioner from our office can be available to provide on-site acupuncture services on the day of embryo transfer. If you would like to schedule your transfer with our office, please do the following:

Call or send an email with your name, contact information, the name of your doctor and the month you will be cycling so we can put you on our transfer list.

Contact our office on the day of your egg retrieval so that we can approximate when your embryo transfer will be. This is necessary because people do not always retrieve on the day they were originally scheduled.

Contact our office when you have a tentative transfer date and time so that a practitioner can make room in his or her schedule.

Please be sure that your RE and his scheduling staff are aware that you will be receiving acupuncture so that a room and an adequate amount of time are made available for you.

Please Note: Our practitioners are scheduled to be on-call for embryo transfers on specific days and because of this we are able to keep costs down for our patients. The practitioner you get on the day of your transfer will depend on which one is on-call that day. All practitioners who perform embryo transfers for our offices are certified by the American Society of IVF Acupuncturists (ASIA). ASIA certification ensures that the practitioner performing acupuncture for your Embryo Transfer is properly administering standardized IVF protocols.

If you would like to request a specific acupuncturist for your transfer, the acupuncturist may be able to accommodate you. However, specific requests are charged at our hourly rate with a minimum of 4 hours.
