Instructions for a Vitamin C Flush

Please note: This flush is for patients of ECCM and should only be done under the supervision of a qualified health care practitioner.

This will cause diarrhea, some cramping and intestinal gas. It is best not to do this if you have to be anywhere other than at home.

1. Start first thing in the morning after a night of fasting. Mix 1 scoop of buffered vitamin C in 2-3 ounces of water and drink.

2. Repeat this procedure every 30 minutes until you have watery diarrhea.  Do not stop at only loose stools.

Note: if you do not have a flushing reaction after 5 hours, (10 scoops) discontinue and do it another day.

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the morning because you will be losing a lot of water once you have begun purging.
  • Do not eat anything during the flush, however you can begin eating once you have had watery diarrhea. Follow the anti-inflammatory diet during the first 2 weeks of your cleanse with an emphasis on non-starchy vegetables. If you know your metabolic type and are a Group II then adjust accordingly but focus on Coconut oil and uncooked extra-virgin olive oil for fats.

3. Record how many teaspoons you needed to induce the watery diarrhea.

4. The following day take ¾ of the number of teaspoons and continue doing that on a daily basis for 2 weeks.  Take this in divided doses throughout the day.  This maintenance dose should not induce diarrhea, if it does cut it down further until you no longer have diarrhea.

If you have any symptoms other than diarrhea (e.g., dizziness, headaches, body aches, fatigue, nausea, etc.) discontinue the detox and contact us immediately.

If you have a history of kidney stones, the regimen should be modified slightly, please contact us for details.
